Over a quarter of international law firms rely on referrals for 20 per cent of their annual income according to a new report from LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell. The lawyer-to-lawyer referral market remains healthly with 26 per cent of respondents saying that over 20 per cent of their fees are courtesy of referrals from international counterparts. Over half the Western European firms said that between 10 and 30 per cent of work came from referrals. A more detailed breakdown of the report will be available in the July edition of The European Lawyer.
