Olswang launches in Spain

Olswang has become the latest UK firm to enter the Spanish market after hiring a partner from Bird & Bird. Olswang has recruited Javier Vasserot, previously the local head of corporate at UK TMT rival Bird & Bird, to spearhead the new office in the Spanish capital Madrid. The branch is earmarked to open after the summer and will add to bases in Brussels and Berlin. Olswang’s local launch follows that of Herbert Smith, which opened last year with a team from Linklaters.
