Austrian law firm Wolf Theiss has launched a tax advisory subsidiary in Romania.
The new business unit is led by Iulia Radocea (pictured). She joined late last year from Deloitte, where she served as international tax manager. Wolf Theiss Tax Advisory Services, which is a local limited liability company, will provide integrated tax advice alongside the legal services team. A number of Romanian firms have been investing in tax units in a bid to muscle in on the large accounting firms’ market strength.
Balazs Bekes, Wolf Theiss tax partner, said: “In the past, business clients had to use one firm to address the legal aspects and another to handle the tax aspects of any given matter. At Wolf Theiss, we offer a one-stop-shop where clients can resolve issues from both a legal and tax standpoint.”
