Havel & Holásek hires competition head

Havel & Holásek has recruited the former vice-chairman of the Office for the Protection of Competition to lead its competition practice.
Robert Neruda, joined Havel today (1 June). He will lead the seven-lawyer team working on competition and state aid law matters. Neruda has spent the last eight years with the Czech Office for the Protection of Competition, including serving as a vice-chairman during the part two years.
Jaroslav Havel, the law firm’s founding partner, said: “When selecting a suitable candidate for the head of the competition law team, we considered a number of factors. Robert Neruda was the best candidate not only because of his professional experience but also for his in-depth knowledge of competition law from the perspective of a regulator.”
